As things currently stand, UBC is the only school allowed to teach real estate in British Columbia or provide the exam, so they are the true gatekeepers of real estate.

What You Need to Know About the Official UBC Real Estate Exam
The UBC real estate test is administered over the course of three hours and consists of one hundred problems spread over several sections. You’ll be tested on every element of the UBC coursework, from the laws surrounding real estate transactions to math-heavy problems involving interest rate calculations.
A 70/100 score is required to pass. Should you fail, you are required to wait at least 90 days before attempting the test again. And passing is definitely not guaranteed. Fail rates are usually reported in the 20%-30% range.
Having good test-taking skills can help make the test a little easier. Most of the questions are multiple-choice, and usually, follow the typical pattern of having one or two answers that are obviously incorrect. Going slowly and taking your time will undoubtedly help you succeed. Also, there is no penalty for guessing. Answer every question, even if you genuinely don’t know the answer, and odds are you’ll get at least some of them right.
Still, you will undoubtedly want to spend plenty of time studying for the test – particularly when you have to wait so long to retake it.
