BCFSA, the BC Financial Services Authority, is responsible for regulating British Columbia’s real estate and other financial services sectors.
The Managing Broker Applied Practice Course ran from January 26 to August 24, 2026, spanning eight calendar months. I am grateful to have completed the course as part of its inaugural cohort and to mark another important milestone in my professional development.

Working Through the Course Materials
Completing the course took a lot of time and effort, with eight months of working through the materials and developing a better understanding of the key concepts.
With a lot of information to cover, it was important to take the time to understand the material rather than simply trying to remember everything. Some topics required more attention and review than others, and working through them consistently was an important part of the learning process.
Understanding the key concepts is also important when preparing for an examination. Regular study, practice, and reviewing difficult topics can help make the material easier to understand and the preparation process more manageable.
Helping Others Prepare
I also help real estate professionals prepare for the final Managing Broker licensing examination through our courses and tutoring program.
We help students work through course materials, understand key concepts, and spend more time on areas they may find difficult. Having the opportunity to ask questions and go through challenging topics can be helpful when preparing for an examination.
Going through this learning process myself has also been a good reminder of the time and effort students put into their own studies. Staying consistent, asking questions when something is unclear, and focusing on understanding the material can all help along the way.
I am grateful to have completed the Managing Broker Applied Practice Course and to have been part of its inaugural cohort.
